Honda always tries to make their visions a reality when it comes to their products. Hondas goal by 2022 is that ALL Honda’s will come standard with Honda Sensing. But there is great news for Honda, as they have announced that sales in the U.S. of vehicles that are equipped with Honda Sensing has reached the one million mark!

Honda Sensing is a suite of advanced safety technologies and driving assistive technologies to help the driving experience a safer one with alerting drivers of oncoming forward collisions, lane departure etc. By 2022 Honda wants to make sure these safety suites become standard on all Hondas. The Accord is the first model in the Honda lineup to have all trim models come standard with Honda Sensing.

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) Is a non-profit organization that helps reduce deaths, injuries, and property damages due to car crashes. Their partner Highway Loss Data Institute published a study about the effectiveness of Honda Sensing which has resulted in proof of reduced incollision claim severity of injuries of people, damages to property or vehicles or others on the road.  llision, concluded that even if the crash was not avoided, the vehicle that got hit by the other car at least slowed down before the crash was impacted. Which proved because of these Honda Sensing Safety Suites the speed was reduced which reduced the injury impacted. These tests were done on 2016 Accords, Pilots, and Civics which was the first year that had the option of having Honda Sensing.
