The 2016 Honda Civic has been awarded the Autoguide.com 2016 Car of the Year Award for its sophisticated styling, sporty performance and advanced technology, as well as its class-leading reliability, fuel economy and safety ratings, versatility and overall value.
Since being released in mid-November, the Civic has stolen hearts everywhere thanks to its stylish looks and 1.5 liter turbo engine. It features a new sporty and sophisticated vehicle architecture with a more spacious and high-quality cabin, two advanced new engines and an abundance of features and technologies. Some of these include the first application of Apple Carplay and Android Auto in a compact car sold anywhere in the world, as well as the addition of available Honda Sensing safety and driver-assistive technologies and the first application of Honda Turbo Engine Technology.
AutoGuide Group Editorial Director Colum Wood said, “The new Civic is easily the best all-around package I’ve driven, not just this year but in a very long time. It’s premium, yet sporty, and I just love that new turbocharged engine. A car that’s this good, with Honda’s reputation for quality, reliability and durability, just doesn’t come along everyday.”
